Citizen Advisory Committee
Volunteer opportunities are available for people who desire to play a role in providing services for individuals with a disability in the community. Andrews Center is always looking for residents of Henderson, Rains, Smith, Van Zandt and Wood counties to fill vacancies on its Citizen Planning and Advisory Committees (CPAC).
The Mental Health CPAC represents and advocates the interests of adults and children living with mental health issues. The Mental Health CPAC does the same for adults and children diagnosed with mental health issues.
Each committee has a minimum of nine members, half of which are people utilizing services or family members of people who do. Other members are interested citizens or employees of other community agencies. No member can be an employee or contractor of Andrews Center. Members are appointed by the Andrews Center Board of Trustees for 2-year terms. The committees meet at least quarterly and report directly to the Andrews Center Board of Trustees.
