East Texas Behavioral Health Summit 2.0
Join us on May 6, 2025 as we focus on moving mountains at the second annual East Texas Behavioral Health Summit.

An Andrews Story:
Hope, Hard Work and Triumph
Eight years ago, Theresa Jack's life was a stark contrast to what it is today. Struggling with the overwhelming grief of losing a baby, she faced a battle with anxiety, major depression, schizophrenia, and PTSD that left her feeling hopeless. At her lowest point, Theresa even attempted to end her life.
Mental Illness A Crisis In Our Area
East Texas faces a mountain of mental health challenges leading to homelessness, crime, and family trauma. These challenges strain local resources like our jails and ERs. Consider this: our region suffers from the highest suicide rate in the state — just one indicator of the significance of mental illness in our area.

Creating Solutions
Together
As the local mental health authority, we collaborate with governmental organizations, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community groups to improve mental health services and processes in East Texas. Andrews is a non-profit, governmental agency focused on behavioral healthcare in many forms. For services we don’t directly provide, we support other organizations and individuals, working together with them as a team. By connecting with East Texans, we are creating a united beacon of hope and healing.
