MENTAL HEALTH

Bipolar Disorder, Major Depression and Schizophrenia are the three most commonly diagnosed mental illnesses among adults. These are complicated illnesses that greatly impact the lives of the diagnosed as well as their family, friends and other members of their community. Living with the illness can seem to be an immovable obstacle to the person diagnosed, as well as to their family and friends. The change brought on by the illness might be slow or sudden and the destructive potential is always present. Hopes, dreams and entire lives may be broken, but Andrews Center is here to help with the transition to wellness.

Help is available to make living life with a mental illness less complex.

These services are available to residents of Smith, Wood, Rains, Van Zandt and Henderson Counties. Call the nearest Andrews Center Outpatient Clinic to schedule an appointment.

The Health and Human Services Commission Office of Mental Health Coordination also has a Texas Mental Health website with the goal of providing information, resources, and direction to Texas residents who may have mental health or substance use related needs or who want to support someone who does. mentalhealthtx.org.
